Who runs MyAkme

MyAkme is a service of NVS Consulting LLC (Richmond, Madison County, KY 40475, USA). NVS Consulting LLC is the data controller for personal information collected through MyAkme. References below to “we,” “us,” or “our” mean NVS Consulting LLC.

What we store

Your profile (name, credentials, email, ORCID, NPI, contact details, optional headshot), every CV you author, every section item in your master library, parsed CV PDFs you upload, and your Stripe customer ID once you subscribe. We never store your password — that's managed by AWS Cognito.

Who we share with

  • Anthropic — when you upload a CV for AI parsing, the PDF and our extraction prompt are sent to Anthropic's API. Anthropic does not train on this data per their commercial terms.
  • Amazon Web Services — your data lives in AWS DynamoDB, S3, and Cognito (US East 1). AWS is a subprocessor only; they don't access your data for their own use.
  • Stripe — payment data goes directly to Stripe. We never see your card number; we only receive a customer ID and subscription status.
  • Google (Analytics) — when you accept analytics cookies at the banner, anonymized page-view and engagement events are sent to Google Analytics 4 so we can understand how MyAkme is used. We do not enable Google Ads features (ad personalization, ad storage). Decline at the banner to opt out entirely.
  • NCBI / PubMed — when you import publications by PMID, your query goes to NCBI's E-utilities. NCBI logs queries against their public service.
  • Your institution's admins — if you join an org via invite, the org's admins can see your name, email, and seat status. They cannot see the contents of your CVs or library.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't train models on it. We don't use it to advertise anything to you. We don't share with anyone other than the service providers above.

Deletion

Delete your account at any time from /settings. Account deletion wipes every row in your DynamoDB partition (profile, CVs, items, parse jobs, audit log) and tombstones your Cognito user. Stripe customer records persist for accounting reasons but are no longer linked to anything in our system.
