The problem we keep seeing
Every credentialed professional we know maintains their CV in a Word document that is three years out of date and in the wrong format for whoever just asked for it. The folder of diplomas, board certs, licenses, and DEA registrations lives in a Dropbox they have to search every time a hospital, firm, or institution asks for credentials. The night-before-deadline scramble is universal. We are fixing that.
What we build
A single source of truth for every section of a serious professional record. Education, training, employment, appointments, publications, presentations, grants, patents, teaching, mentorship, committee service, peer review, society memberships, awards, licenses, board certifications, DEA, CME, languages, media. One library, many CVs. Pull from your master pool to assemble the right CV for the right purpose. Send a verified credentialing packet in under a minute when an institution asks.
Where we start
We started in academic medicine because that is the hardest version of this problem. NIH biosketch, AAMC, institutional promotions and tenure, hospital privileging, board recertification, DEA, CME hours. If we can hold the line on the hardest format stack in the world, we can hold it on any other profession. We are now expanding template support to law, engineering academia, finance, architecture, and consulting.
Where we are going next
The CV is the record. The job is the use. The next product we are building on top of MyAkme is a curated job-posting platform: faculty searches, fellowships, partner-track roles, expert-witness retainers, and similar credentialed positions. One click to apply with the exact format the hiring committee asks for, sourced from the record you already keep here. Postings vetted by humans, not scraped. No re-keying, no ghost listings, no recruiters who never read your CV.
What we believe
- Your data belongs to you. Everything you put into MyAkme is yours to do with as you choose. Cancel any time and walk out with every row in your library. When you delete your account, your database rows wipe immediately and uploaded files clear within 30 days.
- We never spam. We never share. Service email only. We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone outside the named subprocessors that run the service.
- Trust the parser, but verify. We use Claude to extract structure from a PDF, but every commit goes through a human-in-the-loop review screen.
- A CV is a record of a climb. Treat it that way.
Who we are
Built by Sarma Singam, MD, a cardiologist, intensivist, and engineer. MyAkme is a service of NVS Consulting LLC (Richmond, KY) — an independent product, not affiliated with any institution. It started after a painful afternoon of cross-formatting his own CV for three different reviewers, and was built by someone who understands both the credentialing nightmare and the systems that should fix it.
